Nathan Guantiñas
Nathan has been tattooing out of Oroquieta City for years, and his work travels a lot further than Misamis Occidental. He has competed at Dutdutan, the biggest tattoo expo in the Philippines, taken first place for post apocalyptic tattoo, and been invited back to conventions as a judge rather than a competitor.
He works across styles most artists pick one of. Photoreal colour portraits, black and grey with real depth in it, clean Polynesian blackwork, and cover ups. Every piece is drawn custom for the person wearing it. Nothing off a wall.
He is also a painter, which is the quiet reason the colour work holds up. Oils on canvas between clients, still lifes and landscapes, the same eye pointed at a different surface.

Styles
Colour realism
Portraits, characters and photo work in full colour. The hardest thing to do well on skin, and the reason people travel to him.
Black and grey
Portraits, animals, dark art and religious pieces. Built in smooth grey washes so it still reads clearly in ten years.
Polynesian and tribal
Solid blackwork laid out to follow your body, not just stamped on it. Chest plates, shoulders and full sleeves.
Cover ups
Old work, faded work, or something you regret. Send a clear photo and he will tell you honestly what can be done with it.
Custom design
Bring a rough idea and he draws it. Everything is designed for you first, then tattooed. You see the drawing before the machine starts.

He draws your piece custom. You see it and approve it before anything gets tattooed.

06 — Questions
Before you book
How much is a tattoo?
It depends on the size, the placement, the detail and how many sessions it needs, so there is no single price list. Message Nathan with your idea and a reference photo and he will quote you straight. Most people get an answer the same day.
Do I need a deposit?
Yes. A deposit holds your date and covers the drawing time. It comes off the final price. If you need to move your date, tell him ahead of time and the deposit moves with you.
Can I bring my own design?
Bring anything. A photo, a screenshot, a rough sketch on paper, or just a description. He draws everything custom from there, so it fits your body and does not look like the reference stretched onto skin.
Can you cover an old tattoo?
Often, yes. Send a clear, well lit photo of it and he will tell you honestly whether it can be covered, whether it needs lightening first, or whether a rework is the better option.
Is it clean and safe?
Fresh needles and a fresh setup for every client, single use where it should be single use, and everything else sterilised. Nothing is reused between people.
How old do I have to be?
Eighteen. Bring a valid ID. No exceptions, even with a parent along.
How long does it take to heal?
The surface settles in about two weeks and the skin is fully healed underneath at around a month. You will get aftercare instructions before you leave. Follow them and the colour holds.
Do you travel or do guest spots?
